Ingredients
Scale
Lobster
- 4 lobster tails (about 4–5 oz each), split in half lengthwise
Cajun Garlic Butter
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Garnish
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper to prepare for roasting the lobster tails.
- Prepare Cajun Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), and lemon juice until well combined.
- Brush Lobster Tails: Place the lobster tails flesh-side up on the prepared baking sheet and generously brush the Cajun garlic butter mixture all over the lobster meat.
- Roast Lobster: Roast the lobster tails in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the lobster meat turns opaque and slightly golden on top. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C) for safe consumption.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the lobster from the oven, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top for extra brightness.
Notes
- Make sure not to overcook the lobster to keep it tender and juicy.
- The cayenne pepper is optional; adjust according to your preferred spice level.
- Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor; bottled lemon juice can alter the taste slightly.
- Butter can be substituted with a dairy-free alternative for those with dietary restrictions.
- To split the lobster tails, use kitchen shears to cut down the center of the shell lengthwise for easier seasoning and cooking.
