Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Dough
- 1 recipe Homemade Pizza Dough
Alfredo Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
- Dash of pepper (to taste)
Toppings
- 1 ½ cups chopped grilled chicken
- 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices cooked bacon, chopped
- 2 Tablespoons chopped green onion
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Make homemade pizza dough following your preferred recipe. Let the dough rest while preparing the Alfredo sauce. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Spray a 12×17-inch sheet pan with non-stick spray and lightly dust it with cornmeal or flour if desired to prevent sticking.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and add garlic powder and onion powder. Whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Gradually pour in the heavy cream while whisking. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring continuously to thicken. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese and a dash of pepper until the cheese melts completely.
- Assemble the Pizza: Press the rested pizza dough evenly into the prepared sheet pan. Spread half of the Alfredo sauce evenly over the dough. Distribute the chopped grilled chicken evenly on top. Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle shredded Mozzarella cheese generously to cover the sauce and chicken, then top with chopped cooked bacon.
- Bake the Pizza: Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 14 minutes, or until the crust edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and slightly bubbly.
- Finish and Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions for a fresh flavor and color contrast. Let the pizza stand for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing into squares. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Use a light-colored sheet pan for best browning results; dark pans may burn the crust.
- Lightly dusting the pan with cornmeal or flour helps prevent sticking and adds a nice texture to the crust.
- You can substitute grilled chicken with rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- If desired, add a pinch of nutmeg to the Alfredo sauce for a subtle depth of flavor.
- Allowing the pizza to rest before slicing helps the toppings set, preventing them from sliding off.
