Fruit and Liquid Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 5–6 lemons)
- 5 cups cold water
Sweetener
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
Garnishes (Optional)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves
- Peach slices
Instructions
- Blend Peaches: Place the sliced peaches and 1 cup of water in a blender. Blend until completely smooth to create the peach puree base.
- Strain Puree: Pour the blended peach mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any pulp and ensure a smooth lemonade texture.
- Add Lemon Juice and Sugar: Pour the freshly squeezed lemon juice into the pitcher and add the granulated sugar. Stir thoroughly until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Combine Water: Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir to mix everything evenly.
- Taste and Adjust: Sample the lemonade and adjust sweetness if desired by adding more sugar according to taste preferences.
- Chill: Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and serve chilled.
- Serve: Pour the lemonade over ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves and peach slices if desired for an appealing presentation.
Notes
- For a fizzy version, substitute 1 to 2 cups of cold water with sparkling water just before serving.
- Frozen peaches can be used as a substitute for fresh peaches; thaw beforehand for best blending results.
