Description

These Irresistible Keto Philly Cheesesteak Roll Ups are a low-carb, gluten-free twist on a classic favorite. Featuring tender roast beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and gooey provolone cheese, these roll ups come together quickly for a satisfying main course that’s perfect for lunch or a party appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

Vegetables and Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Protein and Cheese

  • 1 pound thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Sauté Vegetables: In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the thinly sliced onion and green bell pepper and sauté until softened and slightly caramelized, about 7–8 minutes. Season the mixture with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  2. Assemble Roll Ups: Lay the slices of roast beef flat on a clean surface. Place one slice of provolone cheese on each piece of beef. Spoon a small amount of the sautéed pepper and onion mixture onto each slice, then carefully roll them up tightly to enclose the filling.
  3. Cook the Roll Ups: Arrange the roll-ups seam side down in the skillet or place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Heat over medium heat on the stovetop or bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the roll ups are heated through.
  4. Serve: Remove the roll ups from heat and serve warm as a delicious low-carb main dish or appetizer.

Notes

  • You can secure each roll with a toothpick if needed to keep them together during cooking.
  • For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or a dash of hot sauce to the filling mixture.
  • These roll ups make a great low-carb lunch option or party appetizer.
