Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 12 slider rolls
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced deli ham
- 1/2 pound sliced Swiss or cheddar cheese
Topping
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) to prepare for baking the sliders evenly.
- Prepare Sliders: Slice the slider rolls horizontally in half and place the bottom halves in a 9×13-inch baking dish to form the base layer.
- Add Ham and Cheese: Layer the thinly sliced deli ham evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls, then place the sliced Swiss or cheddar cheese on top of the ham.
- Top the Sliders: Place the top halves of the slider rolls over the cheese-covered bottoms, creating complete sandwiches.
- Make Butter Glaze: In a small bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and onion powder, stirring to mix well.
- Brush Topping: Brush the butter mixture generously and evenly over the tops of the slider rolls to add flavor and help them brown.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and cheese to start melting.
- Finish Baking: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and the tops are golden brown.
- Serve Warm: Remove from oven and serve the sliders warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- These sliders can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving to save preparation time.
- For extra flavor, add a layer of honey mustard or pickles inside each slider before topping with the roll top.
- Leftover sliders can be refrigerated for up to 2 days and reheated in the oven for a fresh taste.
