Ingredients
Scale
Garlic Butter
- â…“ cup butter, softened
- 6-8 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1.5 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
Main Ingredients
- 1 large loaf of French bread
- 2 (12 oz) packages Bertolino Certified Angus Beef Shaved Ribeye
- 6 large slices provolone cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with minced garlic and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined to create a flavorful garlic butter spread.
- Toast the Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the French bread lengthwise and spread the garlic butter evenly on the inside surfaces. Place the bread cut-side up on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5-10 minutes until lightly golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Steak: Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add some of the remaining garlic-parsley-butter mixture to the skillet. Add the shaved ribeye steak, seasoning generously with salt and pepper. Cook the steak until it reaches your preferred level of doneness, stirring occasionally.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Pile the cooked steak onto the toasted garlic bread. Layer 6 large slices of provolone cheese evenly over the steak to ensure every bite is cheesy and savory.
- Melt the Cheese: Place the baking sheet with the assembled sandwiches back into the oven and broil for 1-2 minutes until the provolone cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, fold the sandwich in half, then slice into handheld strips, perfect for sharing or serving as game day snacks.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add sautéed onions or peppers to the steak before assembling the sandwiches.
- Use a cast iron skillet for best steak searing results and even cooking.
- Broil carefully and watch the cheese closely to prevent it from burning.
- Leftover sandwiches can be wrapped and refrigerated for up to 2 days and reheated in the oven or skillet.
- Adjust garlic quantity to taste for milder or bolder garlic flavor.
