Ingredients
Scale
For the Beef Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Sliders
- 12 slider buns
- 6 slices of cheddar cheese, halved
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup pickles, sliced
For the Sauce and Topping
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Cook Beef Mixture: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the finely chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and cook for another 2 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Assemble Sliders: Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the buns. Layer the cheddar cheese halves over the beef, then top with the remaining buns.
- Prepare for Baking: Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown.
- Add Toppings: Remove the sliders from the oven, carefully lift the top buns, and spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on each. Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced pickles, then replace the top buns.
- Serve: Serve the sliders immediately while warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Make sure to drain the excess fat after cooking the beef to avoid greasy sliders.
- You can customize the toppings according to your preference, such as adding sliced onions or different cheeses.
- For an extra touch, toast the slider buns lightly before assembling.
- Use fresh vegetables for the best flavor and texture.
- If you want to prepare in advance, assemble the sliders without fresh toppings, then add them just before serving.
