Description
These festive Chocolate Kinder Christmas Trees are a delightful no-bake treat perfect for holiday celebrations. Crafted by stacking Kinder chocolate bars into tree shapes and decorated with melted chocolate drizzle and colorful sprinkles, they combine ease and festive cheer in every bite.
Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Base
- 24 mini Kinder chocolate bars (or similar)
Chocolate Drizzle
- 5.3 oz dark or milk chocolate, chopped
- 1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
Decorations
- 3 tbsp festive sprinkles or edible glitter
- 8 mini chocolate stars or candy stars
Instructions
- Prepare tray: Line a baking tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
- Assemble chocolate stacks: Unwrap all chocolate bars. For each Christmas tree, stack three bars by starting with one whole bar at the bottom, then placing a half bar overlapped at the top to form a triangle resembling a tree shape, and topping with one more bar to add height.
- Place stacks on tray: Arrange all the stacked chocolate bars on the prepared tray, ensuring there is some space between each tree to allow for easy handling and decoration.
- Melt chocolate and oil: Combine chopped chocolate and coconut oil in a heatproof bowl. Melt gently over simmering water or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until a smooth, glossy consistency is achieved.
- Drizzle melted chocolate: Using a spoon or a piping bag, generously drizzle the melted chocolate over each stacked tree. This creates the appearance of branches and helps hold the stack together.
- Decorate trees: While the melted chocolate is still wet, immediately sprinkle festive sprinkles or edible glitter over each tree. Place a mini chocolate or candy star at the top to mimic a tree topper.
- Chill and set: Place the decorated trees in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes allowing the chocolate drizzle to firm up and hold the decorations in place.
- Serve: Enjoy the chocolate Christmas trees chilled or allow them to come to room temperature before serving.
Notes
- Using coconut oil in the melted chocolate helps achieve a smoother drizzle that sets nicely.
- You can substitute the mini Kinder bars with other similar-size chocolate bars if unavailable.
- Store these treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
- Allow the chocolate to fully set before moving to avoid smudging decorations.
- These treats are best enjoyed within 3 days for optimal texture and flavor.
