Fold in the mini chocolate chips gently to distribute evenly.
- Make the cream cheese filling: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until the mixture is creamy, smooth, and well combined, ensuring there are no lumps.
- Assemble the cups: Line a muffin tin with chocolate candy cups or paper muffin liners. Press a small amount of cookie dough into the bottom of each cup, creating an even base layer. Spoon or pipe a layer of the cream cheese mixture over the cookie dough base. Add another small layer of cookie dough on top and gently press the top layer down to secure the layers.
