Description

This Chicken Caesar Salad Garlic Bread recipe combines the classic flavors of Caesar salad with warm, cheesy garlic bread and tender chicken. It’s a comforting and flavorful main course that’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or casual gathering. Crispy baguette is toasted with garlic butter and mozzarella cheese, then topped with a fresh Caesar salad and protein-rich chicken for a delicious fusion dish.

Ingredients

Scale

For Garlic Bread

  • 1 large French baguette or Italian loaf
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For Salad and Topping

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, sliced or shredded
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup croutons
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit to get it ready for baking the garlic bread and cheese.
  2. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt until well combined for a flavorful garlic spread.
  3. Slice and Butter Bread: Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter evenly over both halves of the bread, ensuring complete coverage for full flavor.
  4. Bake Bread: Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the bread is lightly toasted and fragrant.
  5. Toss Caesar Salad: While the bread is baking, in a large bowl toss the chopped romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan, lemon juice, and black pepper until evenly coated and well mixed.
  6. Add Mozzarella and Bake: Remove the bread from the oven and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of each half. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese has melted and is bubbly.
  7. Top with Chicken and Salad: Remove the cheesy garlic bread from the oven. Top each half evenly with sliced or shredded cooked chicken breast. Spoon the Caesar salad mixture over the chicken layer.
  8. Add Croutons and Serve: Sprinkle croutons and additional Parmesan cheese over the salad-topped bread if desired. Slice into portions and serve immediately while warm and fresh.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time and add flavor.
  • For an extra burst of flavor, add garlic powder or Italian seasoning to the butter mixture.
  • Assemble just before serving to keep the bread crisp and prevent sogginess.
