Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Cheesy Chicken Wraps featuring shredded chicken mixed with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, sour cream, and salsa, all wrapped in soft flour tortillas and pan-seared to golden perfection. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner with customizable toppings.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or chopped)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup salsa or diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning or chili powder

Wraps

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for pan-searing)

Optional Toppings

  • Shredded lettuce
  • Avocado slices
  • Jalapeños
  • Hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a large bowl, combine the cooked shredded or chopped chicken with cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, sour cream or Greek yogurt, salsa or diced tomatoes, and taco seasoning. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
  2. Assemble the wraps: Lay out the flour tortillas on a flat surface. Evenly distribute the chicken and cheese mixture down the center of each tortilla. Fold the sides of each tortilla inward and roll tightly into a wrap shape to enclose the filling.
  3. Heat the skillet: Place a skillet over medium heat and brush it lightly with olive oil or butter to prevent sticking and enhance browning.
  4. Cook the wraps: Place each wrap seam-side down onto the heated skillet. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, turning carefully, until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese inside has melted.
  5. Serve warm: Remove the wraps from the skillet, slice in half if desired, and serve warm. Add optional toppings such as shredded lettuce, avocado slices, jalapeños, or hot sauce according to preference.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a faster preparation time.
  • Add black beans, corn, or sautéed bell peppers to the filling for extra texture and flavor.
  • These wraps reheat well in a skillet or air fryer, making them ideal for leftovers.
