- 2 cups broccoli florets
Shrimp
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
- ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
Alfredo Sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Other
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Pasta and Broccoli: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions. Add the broccoli florets in the last 2 minutes of boiling. Drain both and set aside.
- Cook Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Make Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, then add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir and let simmer for 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Add Cheese to Sauce: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Combine Everything: Add the cooked pasta, broccoli, and shrimp back into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together to coat evenly.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Broccoli Shrimp Alfredo.
Notes
- Add red pepper flakes to taste for a spicy kick, or omit for a milder flavor.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and smooth sauce texture.
- Shrimp can be substituted with chicken or scallops based on preference.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half, though sauce will be less rich.
- To prevent overcooking, watch shrimp carefully as they cook quickly and turn opaque.
