Description

This creamy Andes Mint Fudge combines rich chocolate and cool mint flavors to create an irresistible treat. Easily made on the stovetop, this fudge is a perfect holiday gift or a decadent dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth in just 20 minutes plus chilling time.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Ingredients

  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped Andes mints
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper to ensure easy removal of the fudge once set.
  2. Melt Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, semisweet chocolate chips, and unsalted butter. Stir continuously until the mixture is completely melted and smooth, approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Add Flavorings: Remove the pan from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and half of the chopped Andes mints, evenly distributing the mint pieces throughout the fudge mixture.
  4. Pour and Top: Pour the smooth fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining chopped Andes mints on top for added texture and minty flavor.
  5. Chill to Set: Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours until firm. Once set, cut the fudge into 16 squares and serve.

Notes

  • Line the pan with parchment paper extending over the edges to easily lift out the fudge for cutting.
  • Use low heat when melting to prevent the chocolate from burning and becoming grainy.
  • For a richer flavor, substitute semisweet chocolate chips with bittersweet or dark chocolate chips.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Andes mints can be finely chopped or roughly chopped based on preference for texture.
