Ingredients
Scale
Cauliflower Wings
- 1 head cauliflower (about 1 lb), cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Sauce
- ½ cup of your favorite sauce (Buffalo or BBQ)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even cooking and crispy results.
- Season the cauliflower: In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder until each piece is evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Bread the florets: Spread the panko breadcrumbs on a plate. Dredge each seasoned cauliflower floret in the breadcrumbs, making sure they are fully and evenly coated for maximum crunch.
- Air fry the cauliflower: Arrange the breaded florets in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure the wings crisp evenly on all sides.
- Toss in sauce and serve: Remove the cauliflower wings when golden and crisp. While they are still hot, toss them in the Buffalo or BBQ sauce so they are well coated. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- Ensure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket to achieve optimal crispiness.
- For extra spicy wings, add cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
- Use gluten-free panko breadcrumbs to make this recipe gluten-free.
- Feel free to experiment with different sauces such as teriyaki or garlic parmesan.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
